Cambodia is a beautiful country in South-East Asia bordered by Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and the Gulf of Thailand. It’s a small country of approximately 15 million people and so easy to see much of it during a short visit. Its capital is Phnom Penh and the next most important city is Siem Reap which is near the complex of the temples of Angkor Wat. The dominant religion is Buddhism (90%) though the nation once followed Hinduism. Khmer cuisine is different from the neighboring countries, but, of course based on rice. Cambodia’s national dress and culture are unique to South-East Asia as are her housing and transport. Welcome to the land of wonder!
